I have a fat ps3 80gig that puked with ylod after 3 reflows the video went out. I now have a new slim 120 that wont play GT5, but I am working on that. My question is, is there any way possible o get the data of that hard drive, or is it just gone forever?
 
Get an external HD case (make sure it is the correct type for your old drive), connect it to your PC, transfer game data to PC, transfer from PC to USB, transfer from USB to new PS3. If the drive itself is dead, dis-regard all the above...you are scr*wed. Unless you have a spare grand or so laying around to pay a specialty shop that does computer forensics to extract the data from the dead drive.
