No you can't roll - I've had a couple of 'bum-tighteners' where it should have gone over, but sadly it can't.

Which is a shame - I can deal with no damage, but you should be able to roll (what's the point of a rally stage with no rollovers?).

sorry man, but it don't show nothing apart from the sky.

Did you watch the whole thing? It shows a Sky-ground-sky-ground-sky-ground at about 1800-2000 mph.......

Rally stages. Thats another thing holding the reality back in GT3. No rally stages!! I think its kind of boring racing laps around a dirt track. Its too easy. It reminds me of those redneck mud racing circuits. Haha. JK.

GT3 is definately the best racer out. But I may have to turn to Colin Mcrae games to get my drifting fix. CM3 is in developement. Going to be amazing.

I have just gotten my Escudo up in serious air by doing the Smokey Mountain track backwards. I thought it might flip but no. :(

I think that goes along the same lines with damage. I've always been a firm beleiver in the fact that they should incorporate damage into the GT series. That would open up so many things in GT3 for example, body shops, tow trucks, health care (lol, for those awesome crashes). Maybe some day...

Sorry Pako, but I don't belive that you have flipped the Escudo.

The video dosen't show anything but the game crashing - It doesen't show the actual car being flipped over, - If you could show me that, then I would believe you.. :)

Smoky Mountain reversed its pretty funny for the escudo!!! Somehow I don't think the game would allow any of the cars to filp over. What a shame!!! I've got to replays that shows my escudo do some crazzzzyyy stuff. I'll try and find a way to capture them onto my computer.

I aggree with clone, I watched the video a couple times, just looks like a bunch of garbleegook. Sorry, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe if you were outside car view.

I can see how a horrible wreck could make it look like it's flipping over, depending on the view, but in all reality, it probably isn't. Somthing fun I remember doing on GT1 to test the theory, (all the way back in highschool, wow!), is I bought a Tureno, (why can't they use the US desginated names and then let us drop J-spec engines and stuff in. so many poeple see that name and never take it for a corolla;) ). anyways, I bought the Tureno, decked it out and tuned it's suspension so that it would drive around every corner on the outside tires only. Looked pretty funny on replay, but you couldn't flip. was fun to see how far out of the corner you could keep it on two wheels tho! (haven't tried on GT3, what happened to buying bodykits anyways!!)

one the flipside of this arguement, (I haven't watched the vid and am not going to till I'm back in the land of fast net), I remember EA's original F1 game for the PSX. I hit a corner so hard once that I flipped the car all the way over and landed back on my wheels. that was a game that flipping wasn't supposed to happen. almost locked the system up and I got some pretty crazy scenery mixing, but I DID flip her all the way over. (happened in slow-motion because it got 'stuck' upsidedown for a sec, lol)
peace,

it would be really cool if you could, i almost did it to the escudo, on test course, i was just pressing side and x and it started to do 360s like crazy! It almost rolled!(lol, bum tighteners!)

Simple explanation:

Car company says: "You can use our cars, but not if they're going to be shown all smashed up in your game."

Polyphony says, "Okay."

This is why many games with damage modeling have resorted to "lookalike" or imaginary cars, because car companies don't like to see their products turned into scrap metal. Even if it is just in digital form.

I like this simple explanation for "very cool games":

Need For Speed people: "We want to use your supercar in our game."

Car Company: "Only if you don't have it get smashed up."

Need for Speed people: "Ok, so I guess we just take the millions of dollars you would profit and offer it to a better company.

Car Company: Wait, now. Guys, I think we were a little hasty here. Sure you can have our cars get damaged. Now, how much money were you talking about?

See, some companys make the car makers  to them.

just like everyone should  to me.

lol. i'm only kiddin'.

peace out

an then there's other games...

Car Company: "You can't use our cars if they're going to be damaged."

Game Company: "Fine, we will just use cars that look very close to yours but actually aren't."

Car Company: "You can't do that!"
Car Company legal guy: "Yes, they can."
Car Company: "Well, well.. FINE!"

Game Company: "Yeah, who's the man now?"

another good explanation.

funny BUT SO TRUE bloody EA rrrg wouldnt and also exclusive and unexclusive contracts. If the company sells their name once to a big company they can sell it fo heaps but if they sell it to 100's of companies its only going to be worth crap

Pako the video of the escudo is crap I wasted 15 minutes on my SLOW 56k modem downloading sky!!!! o well I believe u actually did it though
