offline A-spec is >>>>>>> online racing imo the game A-spec content is a BIG sad joke AI driving is so bad number of tracks are so low please we need more races in A-spec + tracks than anything else in this game this is a video game after all

and for the love of god..... B-spec why all that focus on it !? why isn't made the way it was in GT4 ? why are ppl getting happy when a week is wasted in seasonal races for a B-spec race ? do you realy have fun watching a replay of ur B-spec driver racing @@!

the driving in this game is so amazing but there is barley anything to race to bad :( see GT4 content and you will understand me , and please start demanding for

While I don't disagree with everything you say, there are millions of people who bought GT5 and each one has their own likes and dislikes, get used to it.

But without an internet connection how do you expect PD to update the events and A-spec for you? Because that is exactly what they are trying to do with seasonals and the different special events they have done, internet required of course.

Funniest one i've seen yet xD 👍
This is turning into who has the best gifs

Which is also quick way to get a thread closed. Not the worst thing in the case of this rant.

Not the best title... I bet most of the jokers that posted here didnt even read the OP...

But the truth is that I agree with most of the first post... (please fix the title or there will be no stoping the bad cliche jokes in this thread)

Not all of us like or can play online (though its not my case some people have limited bandwith and download issues)

It's not called "The Real Driving Simulator" for nothing... hence why a lot of us play it. It seems that Need For Speed is the game for you.

Did you even read what he wrote? He isn't complaining about the game being to realistic, he is asking for more events and the updates to focus less on online aspects of the game and more on offline.

Sooooooooo tempting to post Whaambulance.gif. I'll refrain.

Instead, I'll say that I do have my opinions about the game and some of the things you point out I do agree with. But I also realize that, really, no one cares about my opinion because they have opinions of their own. That's why I don't bother posting a rant thread.

Yes and I'm saying NFS is more of an offline game (for this gen consoles).

ok, the ai offline is not horrible, you probably went into every race with a maxed out car and racing softs. i actually tried running the cars stock, like the kei car race, i used the little mazda az1 completely stock and it was fun and challnging. most ppl just used a maxed out car with racing tires and then complain the game has crappy ai.

I and other people have been asking for A-Spec expansion or an event creator since the games release but PD don't seem to care. All they have added is circa 30 seasonal events, all but 6 of which aren't available anymore.

It's poor, really poor.

Begging the questions:

1) Is online a great addition to the traditional offline gaming experience in general?

2) Is online killing titles that were great when they were offline only, but now have to try to do both and end up doing neither very well? (Again in general)

3) Is it even possible to build a game that does both well and if so, on the scale that GT5 has attempted? (2 of last 3 titles I have purchased suffered from the effects of #2 and the 3rd [MW2] began alright but online died for me after the hacks took over.)

Where in this statement are you saying NFS is more offline focused? I read it as you saying if you don't like realistic games play NFS. I apologize if I'm totally off base on this.

This....

Does NOT mean this.

McFizzle called it, nice "cover up".

Well I was originally mentioning about the realism because he did complain about it in the beginning, how there was too much focus on it. And there should be, in a game about a simulation, which NFS is not really a simulation (maybe excluding Shift). Then you mentioned that the OP was talking about the lack of offline things to do, which what I basically said in my second post was that NFS is also better for that.

I agree with the lack of offline A Spec in the game...
Whenever I buy a new car, I can only race it in Practice one make car mode.. and it rewards me with nothing.
While in offline A spec, i can only do DTM on Nordschleife, the only track I love so much and with decent reward.

Well you can't really blame pd for online problems on the user's end, but pd needs to redo its online structure.

I seem to agree with you on this one, although I believe gt5 online is keeping me interested. It also seems to cause the problems I have with the game. To be fair I feel that the A-spec mode could be further improved but for most players it's not going to stop people going online. Online has took over the gaming industry meaning most companies will spend most of their time working on online features.

If we don't realistically, constructively criticize the game like adults (with realistic expectations, of course), we wouldn't have some of the updates we already have.
Examples:
Standard cockpit and changing wheels (some models)
Mid-race endurance saves
Removal of HUD components

The list could go on for quite awhile. If we do it right, with the best intentions, and keep it realistic, anything is possible.

I'd like to see more A-spec, too, but that was originally answered by the Seasonals.

Not banging on GT but you do know that the term "The Real Driving Simulator" is an advertising slogan don't you?

EA claims Shift 2 Unleashed is "...unparalleled racing experience.". Must be true, correct?

Sorry man, not trying to call you out (we all would like MORE A-Spec), but...
How in the life of me can, "on-line A-spec seasonals" even be considered to be an answer...? :boggled:

Ok, I've kept up with the seasonals, even Bob's races, but that has been solely to keep my interest up, plus I've added a wad of cash and XP. :)

It's a cheap cover up for the lack of genuine A-spec races, which I'm sure any real "fan" can attest, is waaay lacking compared to what we had in all the previous titles. :(
Just another short cut that PD had to implement to get the game out on time....

Mid race/championship saves, changeable wheels on ALL models, well there alone are two great examples of things PD added for us (after much griping)..and BOTH were originally included in GT4.

The OP may not have conveyed his message all too well, but I am darn sure, there are many who would agree, he has a good point. :)

Lets hope PD do listen and add a regular championship (even seasonal) but at least make it a proper race series, and not one where you simply chase the leader..(from the back all the time....)

RALLY RACEs IN A SPEC plzzzzzzzz

:lol : this is almost a funny rant. Well, start with YOUR online problem. Like I just said, YOUR. It's not PDs fault your internet connection is not strong enough for online play. Try hard wiring

Secondly, GT4 was made easy because of B-Spec, with you being able to B-Spec endurance races. Now you have the endure an endurance race. Also how was a "week wasted" on B-Spec races. You can now win 8,000,000 Cr. for two B-Spec races? That's a waste?! Not to mention we also got 3 online A-Spec events this week too. Tell me how that is a "week wasted"? And why do you have to watch the replay? You know how to skip watching replays correct?

Finally, why do you think PD does seasonals? Maybe some of them should have been there in the start, that's why PD is trying to make up for it in seasonals. While there may not be many compared to GT4, even GT3 and 2, with the weekly seasonals, it makes up for it. And don't say "I can't get online to play seasonals" like I said before, not PDs fault your connection isn't strong enough. And maybe, just maybe, PD will update to add more events offline.
