I am hearing mixed reviews about different cars not being modeled correctly, and the handling not feeling right.
Is it really that they threw in random physics and did not pay attention to a certain cars handling? Or is it that you cannot feel the car correctly the same way you do in real life? So you in turn say the handling must be off.
You only have the inputs of controllers and digital steering wheels, with no seat of the pants feel, and the only aids you have to make you feel the car are visual and audio with the occasional force feedback.
This has been true with every simulation no matter how accurate. Your mind sometimes collects the information its given and you form an opinion on feel, and how things should feel. Even if the car handles to a T the way it does in real life, if your combination of controller, your field of view, or your ill perception of speed in a video game are off then you could sit and preach here all day about how the handling is off when in actuality its just because you can't feel the car correctly or gauge the speed in a game as accurately as you do in real life.
Just something to think about before you flood the forums with posts and thread about cars not handling correctly. I personally have experience with several sports cars in real life and I have not found any car model yet that is as far off as some of you are making them seem in your rants about the game.
