I don't own any..but I would definitely go buy a ton of them if you can have the top down haha. I mean..they show them with the top down in the dealership...why wouldn't they be down while driving? This is the real driving simulator right?

I think you can drive the Jaguar XJ13 with the top off and the Shelby Cobra because it has no top.
And of course open cockpit race cars like the Audi R10 can be driven without a top.
However, remember that there is no cockpit view for standards, like the "Corvette Convertible."

I seem to recall there still being visible interiors on convertibles in GT4 while viewing them in the dealership.

I had the same question, i recently bought an s2000 for drifting but i wondered why the top was always on even though the weather is beautiful :(

Wierdly, only a small amount of cars can have their tops down. The only one's I know of are the Ferrari California, Jaguar XJ13, Shelby Cobra, LMP's and F1 cars. The MX-5/Miata and the S2000, along with most other convertibles, cannot have their tops down. I have no idea why PD did this, it's quite strange.

In GT4, the convertibles had interiors and you could drive them with the top down, here's the proof...

Strangely, they actually removed these interiors in GT5, even though the PS3 can easily handle it.

Didn't they have this option in Prologue...I can remember you can go into the options and select if you wanted to drive with the top up or down.

It might be locked for some unknown reason...it could be fixed in an update by PD
