Can you increase the top speed of classic cars?

I was trying to win the Classic Muscle Car Championship but my Dodge can only get up to 105mph. So I bought a new transmission and increased the BHP with a new exhaust. The transmission helped acceleration but I'm still topping out at 105mph. Is there anything I can do to increase top speed or am I just wasting my money buying new parts?
 
you can go into the transmission setup and only change the final drive which can increase and lower top speed. PD cried uncle and gave up on individual gear editing.
 
If the transmission you bought is the fully adjustable one you can change your top speed (which represents changing the final gear, which isn't in the transmission at all on FR cars...). If you bought the close-ratio then you wasted your money. I know cause I did the same thing with my XR-7. (insert toilet flushing sound here)
