Can you load save file onto different PS3 since update 1.05?

I see that we can now copy the save file to a thumb drive, which is great piece of mind for file backups. Has anyone tried loading that file onto a different PS3 (with or without using your same PSN account ID)? I'm leaving town tomorrow for 10 days, and my friend wants me to bring GT5, and a DFGT wheel, with me to play on his system. Not sure I really want to bother to know if I can't be playing with my garage

No you cannot it says " You tried to load another user's save data.You cannot use this save data.Overwriting with new save data." .. I tried it on my wife's account from mine. I do not have any DLC on the save file so i guess you can back up your game incase your ps3 crashes but you cannot exchange files with others even if no DLC exist.

It might work if you load up your own account on a different ps3 tho, i'm looking to do this on my new slim will update after.

Thanks, looking forward to update. My hope is to be able to use my PSN account on my friend's system (for other games as well), and be able to access my GT5 game. I have 0 plans on turning this new option into a cheat mine like SOME people on another thread...

Just did it there dude it works a charm used my own psn account on the new slim restored the backup and viola no problems i updated the game to v1.05 before i copied from the usb stick to the ps3 and no problems enjoy your trip (now with the added bonus of your game save)
