Can you set the time of day ?

I want to drive on the ring at night but each time I start in practice mode it is early morning and so after a few minutes it is broad daylight. :grumpy:

Is there any way to select the start time to avoid having to drive through the whole day to get it to go dark ?
 
If you are clicking on the change time/weather version of the track, then the time and weather will be random when you start...its just luck if you start at night. In track creator though..you can choose the time in hours on some of the places like toscana tarmac, so you can create a track and have it always at night.

This is what I wanted to do as well, and found out when someone informed me on a thread I created.

Go to your lounge in the community tab. Select only yourself as the person in the race. Then in the next screen you can select for example 11 o'clock or 10 o'clock at night, but leave the time passing icon at 1. This means you can race the Nurburgring yourself in the pitch black, and it is really cool.

in arcade and practice mode the time and weather is NOT random. you start the race at the same time of day every time and the weather patterns are the same every time

No problem. Driving at night on this game/sim is pretty cool for sure. Especially on a great track like the 'Ring'...

By pitch black do you mean no spectators? I kinda want to see them on the side of the road like in the 24hr event.

Not quite true, I managed to start at different conditions already in practice mode (just a couple of times though). You are right about Arcade.

Yeah the spectators have to sleep so at night they are at home safely tucked up in their digital beds having digital dreams about 0's and 1's.
