Just thinking of buying an Xbox and the game tonight.
Still undecided.
Been playing GT5 mostly after a little stint with Shift 2 on the PC.

Is Forza 4 an improvement on Shift 2?
Is it less arcadey than Shift 2 and more in the line of GT5 in looks and feel?

Don't want to spend £240 and get Shift 2 type graphics etc.
(Even though I did like Shift 2 for a few months)

Cheers

I have Shift 2 and GT5 on the PS3... Do yourself a favor and pick up an XBOX (at least 120GB version) and Forza 4. It's fantastic. :dopey:

Thanks mate.

I'm more than likely going to get it all in the morning.
Do you think it's best to buy the Limited Edition or just go for the Standard game?
Also does it play ok with a controller?, as I can't have 2 steering wheels and pedals.

Cheers

IMO, its one of the best games with a controller. I think it might be because of the actual X-Box controller, but I have a wheel for ps3 and going back to the controller isn't too bad.
Does make you want a wheel though :dopey:

fully agree, I have a G27 for IRACING (and PS3 racers) and I have no problem jumping into FORZA using a controller. I think it's the only racing game I don't mind using a controller.

If you're super skeptical just buy the xbox and demo FM 4. But I'm telling you it plays great with a controller.

I used to be fine with a controller altogether in GT5 until I reached some content I just couldnt complete (NASCAR special event). This was pre-gamepad sensitivity patch.

Anyway I never encountered anything like that in fm 3

Brilliant, can keep the Xbox underneath the TV while the PS3 is in the bedroom.:)

I'm gonna be using a pad for a while myself till I can get a CSR wheel. Won't be anywhere near as bad as GT5 was with a pad because (in my opinion) the 360 pad is miles ahead of the DS3.

The only time I have ever played Forza with a wheel was with my Saitek on FM1. managed fine with a pad up till now!

I should be able to pick up just the CSR wheel as I already have the pedals and shifter from the Carrera package. Just need the 200 quid now....
