Can you start the engine?

I`ve searched but haven`t found any thing on this.
But under sound on GT4 web site you can start a couple
of cars, is this anywhere in the game? Would be a cool
touch :) Maybe if you ran out of gas, you would have to start
it up again... And what about a horn?

Well? Apparently no one knows. We just have to wait and see then, hopefully
it`ll just be a couple of days! Can`t wait to get it!!!!! 👍

Kind of odd to think they would make the sounds of starting the engine JUST for the website. It's an encouraging thought. Nice find, thanks for bringing it up. 👍

Hahaha, I know that. But as read earlier you could blow the engine and continue with max 2k rpm. Maybe the same with fuel, but you have to start the engine before you could go those poor 2k rpm..? Just a funny thougt...

But seriously, no one knows anything about this? The starting.
I think this is a legitimate question.
I guess the guys who has the game is enjoying it 100%, I can`t blaime them!!! 👍

Well, considering the bluntly obvious difference in car sounds on the site you mentioned, I'd hate to not get to enjoy that more in depth in the game. It sounded really kick ass.

I'd love to be able to start the car up in the garage and listen to it idle. Perhaps even be able to rotate the car and have the sound change depending on whether you were in front (by the hood) or behind it looking at the exhaust pipes. Maybe even be able to get into the car and have the sound change once again.

Heh...I think I should put the pipe down now... :guilty:
 
It's possible that the engine start noise is associated with "Selecting" the vehicle, perhaps picking it from the garage or the noise made when you buy it from the dealer. Who knows? (the people who have it. That's who.)

I've thought of that as well, and it's the most likely answer, unfortunately.
 
perhaps more specifically: The starting noise for viewing the vehicle, and the engine revving noise for actually selecting it? Just a thought. Nevertheless, it's pretty cool.

Yeah! Theres alot of places they could use the start up... But is this in use?... It would be cool to hear different start up for each car, but I belive this is to much
to ask for. Would be nice if some of the lucky ones who have the game could
verify this.
