Can you still transfer save data to a usb?

Can you still transfer data via usb im asking because i was forced to re-patch gt5. (thanks to crash while updating to 2.12) But I go to get my new data to backup and usb option isn't there my current version is 1.16. So im wondering why I don't have usb showing up to the new data on the hdd but when I load my old data it says do you wish to start new game...

Can someone help. This is starting to Aggravate me....

Yes, you can still transfer save data to and from a USB. But that only applies to versions of the game after that was implemented - if you've only downloaded updates to a version of the game where it hasn't been implemented, you won't be able to do it...

You'll also find that trying to load later version saves onto earlier versions of the game is fraught with difficulty - there are, for instance, a number of cars you're likely to have that didn't appear until after v2.00. v1.16 will have a devil of a time working out what's in your save file and will probably reject it as a result.
 
So version 2.06 should be able to have dlc cars and have usb transfer?
I don't want to go to 2.12 because online is not so important to me don't trust it, It was probably system failure but don't wanna re-download all these patches again if it fails.
 
Yes, but only some of them. It won't include cars added after that - which is probably just the Corvette C6 Stingray, but I forget.
