Can you still trundle at back for +SR

Had a couple of bad races that plunged my SR from S to B. Admittedly the S to A was more down to me out braking myself and sending second and first into the wall at 1st turn interlagos but the A to B was more down to bad penalty system. However that is irrelevant. I have just ran the Monza daily 5 times without qualifying just following the person in front of me whilst remaining last. Although my SR showed blue I never went from B to A and as I recall I did this a while back when I dropped from S to an A and after a few races went back to an S. Has this been changed as I only started playing again last week?

It is however funny watching the idiots at B SR just divebomb and sideswipe everything that comes near them. Finished each race either last or last but one and all the penalties have boosted me up to 9th or 10th each race.

Thanks for replies.

Sure you can trundle around at the back to get your SR up... But what's the point? I find that SR S is not all that much cleaner than SRC.(DRA-DRD, I can't speak for DR S)

I mean it. I've spent some good time all through those ranks and it always comes down to where your starting position is.

Nearer the front = more respect from the others around you
Nearer the back = free-for-all

The best method for clean racing is to pick tracks with cleaner T1s and qualify fast. Then if your lucky enough to be in the top 6 starting grid you might get lucky enough to survive the first corner with a intact rear bumper.
Then the front 5-6 typically break away from the rest of the group and the racing really begins.

The way the matchmaking works really only the top qaulifiers tend to have enough race craft to make clean overtakes and race side by side

Personally I have found SR A and B lobbies perfectly clean and have gotten most of my wins as well as a lot of exciting racing in them. As for the question, I don't see why not; you should check your account on kudosprime.

Yes but mine was unintentional as I was blind sighted but it' obvious when players are just dirry
In the victim's defense, the ones you punted off the track could think that yours was intentional too. I would, especially that intentional and unintentional divebombs are hard to distinguish if they both brake

On the replay it is possible, sometimes I lose the braking point and to avoid collision I go for the inside, the difference is I am still braking up until contact and a bit more after to get out of the way if a faster car who did not lose speed on the corner is coming, and to not take advantage of my mistake by keeping the position.
If a driver takes advantage from his unintentional dive bomb, then it is intentional and just as dirty as if the dive bomb was planned.

Oh yeah if you do that I'd know it's unintentional

Yesterday I was DR B - SR C before a race. During the Monza race I got a 3 second penalty. But I decided to finish the race without "cancelling" these 3s, so I finished with +3s and.................. DR B became DR C, and SR C became SR EEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!! Wow, what a punishment .

I was disapointed but I tried to race once again online and my rating leveled up to SR A in ONE clean race!!! So SR C to SR E to SR A in 2 races...

I frequently start at the back with no qualifying time. i have found if you drive defensively, run fairly quick lap times, and keep the car on track you can usually finish in the top 5 or 6 with the occasional podium. Generally my race laps are very close to the leaders unless I am getting held up. Last night starting from the rear I had 5th, 6th, and 7th. at Blue Moon daily. Monza was such a wreckfest, first I got punted thru the second chicane while under braking then I got a 2 second penalty when someone apparently caught reverse while going for 3rd coming out of the Lesmos, I just dropped back and finished 2nd from last I think. That was my only race at Monza last night. You are just as lucky to get punted thru the first chicane on the first lap if you are on pole there as you are to get in someone elses mess starting in the rear. The only safe place at Monza are the spectator stands.

If you are looking for clean racing, there are untouchable tracks. Monza is probably the top of that list up there with Blue Moon Oval (any oval really) and Tokyo. Nurburg GP has a bad first corner but its not so bad a over the course of the race as people tend to spread out after the first lap.

Yeah, I couldnt agree more. Monza and Tokyo I will usually try once, if I get smacked around too much I am done there for the day. Blue Moon I have had pretty good luck with, maybe because you only have to turn 1 direction and there really is only 1 braking zone??:confused::confused:
