Can you store more than 1 save game per USB stick?

I have a few accounts and have been backing them up to 1 USB stick. It asks me if I want to overwrite the old data every time. I'm wondering if all my accounts are on there, or is only the latest save game on there at any point in time.
 
Just like any file naming structure, I'm sure it requires a different file name to keep from overwriting. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe you're only keeping one on there unless the name is somehow changed. I back up to a USB then transfer to my computer desktop - that's where multiple folders / naming works well.

The reason I asked was because I bought a new PS3, did the data transfer from the old one, then backed up the hard drive so I could put the 500gb HDD from the old PS3 into the new PS3. My mistake was in waiting a week after backing up the HDD before swapping the drives. Now I realize that all the GT5 progress after the backup will be lost on all but one account.

I think the solution will be to put the old HDD back in and do another backup tonight then swap to the 500 gb drive again and restore again. Oh well. I wasn't planning to go driving tonight anyway.
