Can you trade a car and paint chip in the same day?

I know you can only trade 1 car per 24 hours but does this also apply to paint chips? For example if I trade a car today, would I also be able to send a separate paint chip or are you only allowed to trade/send one item per day no matter what the item is?

You can send up to 5 paint chips per day, regardless if you sent a car or not.
