Can you tune in time trials?

The only reason I'm going through the event mode is the to get ability to tune, but can you tune cars that are used in time trial once you complete A class? Time trials is what I like to do, racing against some bots starting at the last pos to complete the b,c,a classes is just boring busywork.

If not then I'll just go through some oval events to make enough cash to get the cars I want to race in time trial.

Sorry for stupid questions, GT5P is my first GT so I'm not sure how things are done in GT land

Simple answer is no you cant. Time trials are run on stock settings.

Well, good and bad I guess, depending on how you look at it. I like to both tune and do time trials (Hotlaps) in Forza3, but good because the playing field is equalized and it's just driving skills against driving skills and not who spent a million hours tuning, some people won't have the time and just wants to race. (guilty of that, but it's a huge time sink)
