So far, at least for the west coast, here in Vancouver, the price is lower than the MSRP of $69.99. It's $59.99 in EB Games, Best Buy, and Future Shop. But BB and FS gets it 2 days later, on the 24th. Just saw the BB and FS prices on their flyers today.

My brother works for EB, and I get a discount, so I'm not sure about pricing, but for the release, he was speculating they would physically receive the game either the 21st or 22nd, and the erliest they woul drelease it is AFTER 7pm on the 22nd. He seemed quite confident that it would be out by the 23rd. We are in Quebec. All I know is once I have the game in hand, I'm not sure if I'll be feeling "well" enough to go to work!

;)

I think I'll be "too well" to acknowledge bodily functions.

I'll have to move the TV and the fridge into the bathroom so I don't have to worry about getting out of my 'seat'.

*remembers an old Quake 3 advertisement*

A guy at a Best Buy near my work said they would get it the 21st or 22nd and pretty much put it on the shelves right away. He claims they have a lot of pre-orders but that they are getting way more than enough.
$59.99

In Montreal: EBgames: 69,99, Futureshop: 59,99. THat's the average. I preordered a long while ago at EBgames, but i'm not complaining for 10$.

Cheers,

$59.99

thats correct. typically shipments arrive Monday evening and by law (i think) can begin to be sold by midnight (not that anyones open at that time anyway). the big retailers usually cooperate, but the small independent shops usually don't cause well, nobody cares really... and besides they need that business more than say... Wal-Mart for example. the same can be said about ESRB ratings. EB games will ask you your age when buying a Mature rated game if you so happen to look under age, but Joe Blows Video Game Shack down the road will sell any game to anyone no questions asked. business is bu$ine$$.

and don't worry about copies selling out, there will be enough to last the rest of the week at least so get your copy by then or drive around town looking for one at higher prices.

tip: EB isint the cheapest place to get your game fix, try Wal-Mart. i bought GTA: San Andreas for 11$ less than what EB was selling it for the day it released! :)

It's probably going to be on sale for $59.99 the first 2 weeks then go back to the normal $69.99 price just like GTA:San Andreas was.

I feel bad for my border buddies in canada, you have to pay 10.00 more than the u.s.? Have you guys always had to pay more than 50. per game?

WHAT? 69.99$ in EbGames, i guess i'll have to wait in Futureshop (25th :().

As you may know Best Buy owns Future Shop and has for the past 5 years or so, both are selling it for $59.99CDN on their websites, I doubt instore pricing would be higher than that.

Keep in mind there is a difference in currency, so if you factor in currency, we end up paying about the same as the US per game.

Just pre-ordered my copy at EB in London, ON. They said they'll have it on the 22nd after about 5:30PM (EST). Price is $59.99 ($68.99 after taxes).

i got mine for 65.99 at eb xuz i had 35 bucks credit and i got my GTA:SA for 37 bucks at walmart like 3 day it was out i went nuts cuz they had it and i got it for 20 bucks cheaper than most

do futureshops around canada release it the same day? i got the futureshop flyer today, and i didnt even see GT4 in it. im in saskatoon.

EDIT: ok, that was retarded. i rechecked the flyer. very last page. no love. im gonna have to check if hitek gets it/releases it on time.

I've got mine ordered at Microplay, 2 mins away from my home. They always have the games on the release day. The games here are usally 5-10$ more expensive, but i've waited long enough for GT4 that I don't care paying a little extra fee.

Bestbuy = $59.99

Hey guys,

I ordered GT4 from Futureshop for $59.99 about a month ago. Does anybody know if they'll mail it out from the warehouses on the 25th or on the same day they mail out to their stores? I don't want to be waiting for the Puralator man for weeks, the wait has been agonizing enough already!

my local EB is doing a deal where you can trde in the three previous titles to get 4 for free.
I'm debating whether I pay the 59.99 and add to my collection, or if I go for it and sacarifice 1, 2, and 3. I'd like to own all four.
I plan to run around this weekend and see if I can pickup used versions for cheap anywhere - like Microplay or EB, etc. I found GT3 for $10, and I can't see GT and GT2 being priced at more than $6, or $7, it's just a matter of finding them all.

infact - i would get $10 back from pre-paying my copy.

from futureshop.ca:

Pre-Orders: This product is scheduled to arrive in our warehouse on the Release Date
We make every effort to show the accurate date provided by our suppliers. However Release dates are unstable and can be changed by the manufacturer at any time. Estimated release dates indicate when the manufacturer ships the product from their facilities. Futureshop usually receives the product, and ships pre-orders to customers, 2-3 days after this release date.

so it sounds like they wont even ship it till like the 24th/25th. then you gotta wait for the it to get to you. i'd cancel the pre-order from there and get it at ebgames or somewhere that'll actually have it on time (if you can). otherwise you'll get it a week after everyone else.

Would you all stop complaining about a minuscule 5 dollar price difference?! In Europe the game costs between €60 and €65, which comes to be between US$81 and US$87. Meaning, at least 15 dollars (American) more than your version. Feel sorry for us :(

No, seriously, anyone know why this happens? Every video game costs more in numbers than the US-Canadian versions, even though the euro is supposed to cost more than the US dollar (€1 = $1.35)

duhh my bad forgot about the currency differences, 59.99 just sounds bad, and really sorry for the euros that pay exorbitent prices for games, the world just needs a standard currency to hell with all the freakin differences, were all human right :grumpy:
