Cannot Gift the Ferrari F1?

I just tried to gift the 2010 Ferrari F1 car to a mate of mine (generous chap that I am..) The only problem is that GT tells me I can't gift this car.
What's up with that?
Does anyone know that if I was to the buy the 2007 Ferrari can I gift that one?

No way! Aggh that's crap.
I was hoping me and a mate could crate our own little F1 championship. Ah well. Thanks for the reply. He'll just have to save up and buy it himself ;)

Get one from doing all 9 enduros (A-Spec or B-Spec, you get one for each) and then send it to him through your Items menu. Alternatively go to the Marketplace and ask for one there.

Same as gifting a car if you need a level 24 gift car coupon send me a friends request and I'll send you one. You might not get the F1 on the first try as the level 24 also has the FGT car also as well as a couple others. Send FR to "opelgt1969" include text that you need level 24 gift card.

I was under the impression the only options were Formula cars, the Formula Gran Turismo and the two Ferrari F1s (F2007 and F10).
 
We tried it tonight and wouldn't you know it, out popped a Formula Gran Turismo. Doh! So if you have any more of those swanky tickets Opelgt1969 I'd love for you to pass on any my way.
Just out of interest, how do you have them to give away? :)

Your supposed to reset the game once you see that the car you got from the ticket is not the one you want.

The game save automatically as soon as you redeem the ticket so even a reset would be too late unfortunately.

Copy savegame to USB
Open ticket
If wrong car, quit to XMB, restore savegame from USB
Repeat steps 2 & 3 until right car

That's why you back up your save BEFORE you open the ticket.

It's called Duping. It's a similar process to grinding a ticket in the way the guy above outlined. Do a search on here for the exact method of duping, but basically it involves backing up your game, sending a car or ticket to a friend, then reloading the game off the backup, so the original ticket you sent is still there, and your mate has a copy of it as well. And as the guy above says. If you then backup the game again, you can reload and cash in the ticket as many times as you like until you get the car you want. Someone on here has been good enough to provide a full list on what tickets can get you which cars.
