Cannot race online with friends.

For the past two mondays, I have not been able to race in a friend's lobby. Last week I was able to join, but halfway through the first warmup lap all my friends dissapeared from the track and I could no longer hear them. I left and rejoined, and I could only hear one of them, and he was the only one who could hear me. At that point I got disconnected and could not reenter the lobby without getting disconnected.

I tried again tonight, and the same thing happened. We thought that me hosting might help, but as soon as I got into my own lobby I get disconnected from it as well.

I have no problems playing any other game online, and the last time I tried playing GT5 online using the open lobby function without entering a friends lobby it worked fine (Pre-2.0, I have barely scratched the surface of GT5 online as I just stick to SP and I haven't really played the game at all since BF3 and skyrim's releases). Any thoughts?
 
I haven't done a speed/connection test on thePS3 for a while but GT5 did tell me NAT type 2. my PC speed test I was getting 8mbps download speed which as far as I'm concerned is pretty decent (for australian internet). Last time I tested it on the PS3 was getting around 2mbps download speed. I might do another test tomorrow but I've shut the PS3 off for tonight. Was getting pretty bad lag on BF3 but that's due to EA being a species of humans that to describe them on these forums would get me a pretty quick ban.
 
GT5 is the only game that I set disconnected from occasionally as you are too. I suppose it has to be an issue with the GT5 server. I play killzone3, GTA4 and several others online and never have issues.

I hope that whatever it is gets fixed.
