Hey a quick question, i bought the Art Morrison Corvette and i cannot use it because the race i want to use it for says that i need a car that is made in 1979 or earlier and the Corvette was made in 1960 so i am baffled on why i cannot use this car for the race...

if i'm not mistaken there are some races that require a minimum and maximum age, like 1970<car<1979. check the race conditions to be certain.

Probably because it's a Sema winner so the year counts for when it won.

Because it was rebuild in the 2000s Its considered as new car.

It seems like there's no consistency with this. You can use the Sema 60's Buick (or Olds, whatever) that you win in these races, but not that Corvette or the Sema Mustang that's in the dealerships.

Every detail on the AM Corvette was built new, many parts from scratch and it had been modelled to look like a '60s Corvette. I assume the same for the Mustang, where-as the other Sema cars may have been restored or remodelled on an 'original' but modified chassis.

If that is the case then they should change the year of the cars because it is very misleading.
If u want to say the car was completely rebuilt then say the year it was rebuilt, not say the year the original was built so someone like me can go and buy the car to find out it is not use able.
