:grumpy:I'm getting pretty angry that I cant buy a DFGT in any shops here in Northern Ireland as everywhere is sold out and Ive checked all Argos stores. I even got the option to reserve one for store collection yesterday but when I went in they said it was a glitch and they dont have any stock in their warehouse!! I've been playing GT5 with the DS3 for 6 weeks and am keen to start using a wheel because Ive heard it will improve the whole gaming experience plus I have a few nice racing games on my PC that I would like to play with a wheel.

The only DFGT's on ebay get bid up to stupid prices and im on a budget so does anyone have any suggestions for an entry level racing wheel I could use to get started?

I saw this one in Argos but cant find any reviews anywhere:

Would it be ok just to get the feel of a wheel for the first time on a racing game or should I wait ages for the DFGT to come back in stock?

Just wait for it. That Datel wheel is junk and a waste of money.

The DFGT is a good wheel, and a great one to start with thanks to it's licensed GT5 support and easy to use Logitech PC drivers, I think you'll enjoy it.

There are other wheels in that price range with similar performance... check out the Fanatec 911 Carrera wheel. Same general price, but you get a clutch and a 6 speed shifter too... pretty cool.

thats odd, i was in the UK about a month ago and saw them in the local equivelent of a Gamers, also on the way back while sitting in heathrow, i saw one in the technology stor for quite a reasonable price, almost brought one back for ***** and giggles.

Stock should be sorted now, or very shortly hopefully.
My replacement DFGT should arrive tomorrow from Logitech if that's any indicator.

I once again talk about Pixmania. They've got it in stock. I ordered from them a week or two ago, got it in two days with express shipping.

Yeah, I live in Norway, but Pixmania ship all over Europe, and their prices include VAT and whatnot.

Not an everyday name but i have bought some smaller items from tehm before with no issues.

Conrad Electronics

D'oh.. when i looked a few days ago they had them.. after posting this i noticed notuntil end of April.. my apologies.

I thought I'd check Amazon, which is where I got mine from before Christmas. Wow, it's £134.95!! We paid sub-£90!
