I'm testing out cars, with no abs or tc, only sports hard, 550hp.
Viper GTS 13'
corvette c9... can't quite remember the names...
My track is deep forest raceway reverse.
In the corvette I was getting 1:21 lap times, and every lap for like 5 laps-
I trimmed off 1/4 second, to get there and there wasn't sign of slowing down.
Till I changed cars that is. I got back to the viper and the thing is just all over-
the place, like the f40... I somehow got a 1:22 lap when I first raced it, but can't-
manage to beat the 1:24~ lap I placed when starting today...
I did mess with my tunes... but I thought I reset them to about where it was...
I can get the car to do 58mph around a corner when it can do 40~ stock, but it-
just locks up and tank slaps like crazy... I don't remember it being so bad the first-
races.

Why is the car driving like crap now?
Really lost.

Two suggestions - individual performance can vary a lot from one day to another - one day you may get better lap times than another day. Also sometimes the game does not save tuning settings. It is important to always manually save the game before logging off as the game will load the last tuning settings for which a save was made - several times I have lost my settings, which is very annoying if I have spent a lot on parts and put time into tuning - I haven't had a problem since I started always saving before logging off.

Funny you should mention this. I was doing the seasonal last night and got very frustrated that my lap times were about 3 seconds off from my first runs when the seasonal was new. I was using the Rocket and did notice that the tires had changed from SS to CS. My first attempt I was sliding out at what felt like the appropriate corner entry speed from my previous runs. So I exited and checked the settings. That's when I noticed the tires were not the same as I had run previously. I looked briefly at other settings, but couldn't remember if I had tuned the car or not. I will often drive with the stock settings first and then adjust from there.

With only the change in tires I was able to knock off about 2 seconds. Came down from 1:22 to 1:20. I had previously turned 1:18's with a lowest time of near 1:17.
