Can't change TCS or ASM mid-race.

I've got my sixaxis set up so I can adjust my settings mid race, while driving.

However, since the update, TCS and ASM are blanked out when I bring up the HUD. Has this been deactivated or did I change something?

Really annoying not being able to adjust things even in pactice mode.

DS3 user here and I have mine setup to do the same but during the Seasonal races I was still able to adjust those settings.
 
Perhaps they've fixed the 'bug' whereby a lobby host could 'force' TCS et. al. to 'OFF' but players could still reactivate them during the sessions?

In what session type did you find those options to be greyed out?
 
I noticed that when I tried the Challenger race in the Seasonals. I wanted to adjust my Brake Bias but it was greyed out(G25 user)

I have been B-Spec'ing but will test this.

I suspect they did this to stop people "modifying" settings for the license tests and what not.(that is in fact if it is the problem)

I tried it in A-spec Extreme American event, practice and online. Top 3 options (TCS, ASM, Torque split) are all greyed out.
 
It was the best thing about the Driving Force, now I find myself quitting races so I could re-set my options. Why is this feature disabled now?

You need to go to Options (in the main game menu) and assign keys to the functions.

You'll need 5 buttons.

I use L3 to open/close the menu, Up/Down on the D-pad to select options and L/R on the D-pad to alter values.
 
I still can't switch it on the wheel, even checked the settings, the RA dial should work.
 
My in-race options have not been affected in A-spec, I can still alter TCS during a race.
I'm assuming this problem is happening online?
 
A-SPec, practice, arcade, everywhere. I press the RA dial on my DFGT and the options are transparent and greyed out, except for the brakes. I could adjust that.
 
I'm having no problem on A-spec, and I have the new update installed.
Could it be just certain regions? I've a Japanese copy.
 
I have a PAL copy-and I can still change traction control etc with the RA dial-in all A spec events
 
I've not used my wheel since the update as i have been grinding round Indy to get points.

Will be P*ssed off if we can't change settings while racing anymore.

I liked the fact i could do that.

1.05 just broke save data, I just ran some test.

I can't change it. I delete GAME DATA, then reinstall everything back in (with patch), still not work, then I backed up my save data, started new game, it's work! So my guess who change setting while in game where you can't like NASCAR's ASM messed up save data. Only way i can think of to fix it is to start new game.

I'm B-spec level 28, so once I get to level 35, I'll gift X2010 to my wife, start new game, gift back, then speedy finish it.
 
I have had the total greyed out option menu during an A-spec race since the patch. But the rest of the time i have been B-spec so couldn't really test to see where and when it happened, but it never happened before the patch.

this is rediculous / why are the simplest things ruined by new patches.....
 
Because of stupid people. They treat us like we don't know how to race or something. why are they forcing driving aids on us, when many of us don't even use them. I can't drive a Nascar with the ASM on, it refuses to turn and I end up getting pitted, pushed and just generally beaten about the track. Turn off ASM, and I spank them to the finish by a long shot. Its like those of us that actually have taken the time to learn the skills of driving the cars barebones, no aids, they are now punishing. WHY!? To me it was a really poor decision, and I'm glad I've beaten most of the races that force driving aids. I'm almost to the point of getting my hands on an X1. I just got my hands on the FGT in the OLD. Once I get this beast it'll just be grinding, buying cars, modding, practice and playing online. Specially if PD doesn't fix this crap!

EDIT: For those of you good enough, if you lower your break biases and turn off ABS, ASM Automatically shuts off. Might be a bit trickier to drive, but it gets the job done.

This sucks I have been trying to fix this my self I went back and changed all setting with no luck maybe if enough people complain they may change it I'm pissed that this was a patch.
 
I cannot change in A-Spec, or license test, anything but ABS and brake bias. Online you can change anything at anytime. Least that has been my experience so far with the DGFT.
