i cant check my email! every time i try to look at my new messages, i get redirected to this about:blank site

ive deleted some spyware i found on my computer and tried to repair IE6 but it didnt do anything

please help

(i did a search and i didnt find what i need)
 
You're using some kind of online email client, I assume?
It sounds like some sort of spyware today. I'd try running AdAware 6.0 (update the definitions), and, if that doesn't work, uninstall and reinstall IE. If that doesn't work, just use Mozilla Firefox. It's much less vulnerable to attacks (well, I shouldn't say less vulnerable, but it's less likely to get attacked). Also, what is your homepage. I mean, what does IE open to when you start it?
 
Yeah, you got a browser hijack. Go here: forums.spywareinfo.com and download HiJackThis.
 
oi i have the EXACT SAME PROBLEM. I GET DIVERTED BACK TO THE SAME PAGE about:blank. its evil. ive tried using spyhuntr and adaware, but nothing has happened. this is ****!!!!

about:blank isn't a site. It's just a IE's way of saying "No Page is Loaded At The Moment". Have you updated the reference file for Adaware?
 
um i dont know (im not up with all the computer jargon)

it's not just IE way of saying a page isnt loaded because it goes to this page for a number of things. things like e-mail, replying to messages on sites, certain website, even here on GTPlanet, i cant upload pics because it keeps going back to this about:blank page.

Open Adaware and hit the Update button in other words...

It is. Open GTP and go to View > Source. See the mountain of code? The source code is the all the pretty code behind a website that builds what you are posting on now. Now go to about:blank and view the source. Nothing there, indicating there is no HTML page loaded to view the source of.
 
You should think about getting Ad-Aware SE. It's release wasn't long ago, like 2-3weeks, and it does a much more in-depth search now.
