Can't Claim GT Academy Cars from Tickets

I did a quick search but couldn't spot anything related. If there's already a thread that discusses the issue, accept my apologies and close the thread.

Basically, I'm unable to reclaim any of the GT Academy gift cars from tickets. When I click on the Receive All or Receive gift option, the game just processes something (the cursor starts spinning) and then nothing happens and the game goes back to normal.
In fact, I haven't been able to reclaim the X2010 that was gifted in lieu of Vettel's F1 Championship win either. I click on the ticket, receive it, and nothing happens. Now the same is going on for the Leaf and Silvia tickets, no cigar.

Just to clarify, I've received and sent plenty of gift items before, and there has been no issue, so something special is going on here... Can somebody help me out? I'd really want to play the car-specific seasonals that are coming out. Also not being able to receive those cars at all would really blow... :yuck::grumpy:
 
Get someone to send you something and when you recieve it, hit accept all. I had this problem when they were dishing out the X2010 Vettel for the F1 celebrations

Tried that as well. The receive all trick. Didn't work. I remember there was some other ticket that was gifted after the X2010, and that got saved, but the X2010 one didn't. Even after hitting receive all. I'm stumped here :grumpy:
 
Ehm, could it be that your PSN acc is registred under another flag than the one of the country you live in? Because I remember that certain cars, like this special camaro (forgot the name), don't work on all GT5 versions (if I remember right PAL/NTSC makes the difference).
EDIT: Nvm, it works for one of my friends with US acc but german game.

Well.. I've got a US account, and a Region 2 disc. Also I live in a country that doesn't officially support the PSN. But wouldn't that mean that I can't get these gift cars period? :ouch:

Maybe your car receiving van is at max capacity (forget what it is, maybe 100?). Try to make some room in it first.

Thanks for the help though, guys. Much appreciated. I hope I can get this sorted though, really very annoying. I'll post an update if I do. Other people might benefit..
 
Maybe you've hit the 7000 item limit as tickets in the car delivery are items. Try deleting some duplicate paints and try again.

This is the only logical solution.

But if you claim your car you don`t have more items after the transformation ticket-car. You lose one (ticket) and get one (car).
Maybe the car will be added first. So it can`t be added if you have hit the 7000 limit. Just a guess.
 
If you backed up your save (by reloadeing a save) right before the gifts showed up, or as they were in the the gift list (not the truck) they may be stuck there, Its a glitch. Hopefully thats not the case though.

I believe the garage limit (2000 cars?) is independent from the 7000 limit.

Well, I don't have that luxury unfortunately. The most recent backup has the X2010 ticket still stuck in the gifts, still unobtainable...

Tried that, didn't work. This is turning out to be quite the enigma.

Yep, clicked to receive a single item, the clock span and then nothing happened, the same happened when I tried to receive all.

I sent myself a paint chip on top of all the items that wouldn't receive, went back and the receive all then worked.

I got the Scion just fine, actually.
Something interesting happened though. I have another account and i tried sending a car and other items to my main account, but the 'Give to friend' option was actually greyed out.. :indiff:

I really don't know what that's all about now.. :yuck:
 
I did not even get any. Maybe because I did not have enough time to finish GT academy in time. I don't care however :)
 
Just today I encountered the same issue but using an Audi R8 5.2, transfered across from one of my accounts to another..... Was hoping to see a solution here..... Nevermind.

I will try the paint chip sending option, and see if that kicks it back into life.......

Right, so many thanks to JBanton here. I can confirm that his method works. I've successfully tried this with 2 accounts, and it worked on both. So many thanks to you, sir. You've basically rid me from quite a bit of annoyance.👍

It's weird how it didn't work the last time I tried :lol:
