Cant click on 'aero parts'

Hi guys ive tried google and the search option and could not find my question.

I recently just got the game and my friend sent me a honda s2000. I wanted to add lips etc so i tried to go on 'aero parts' but it won't proceed to the next screen.

It just makes a beep noise.

What do I do in order to access aero parts?

The double-beep noise usually only sounds when you are unable to proceed to the next menu. In this case it'd be either because you're not in a car at all or you're using a Borrowed car.

When you say he sent it to you, did you actually receive the car in your Community tab, open the ticket from the Car Delivery truck and get into it? Or did you borrow the car from cars shared on his profile?

What car does it say you are in on the home menu, at the very top of your screen next to your current credits? Does it say a car name in white (actually in one) or pinky-red (borrowed)?
 
I'm new to the game too but from what I understand, you can only add aero front and sides to the premium cars purchased at the new car dealership. If the S2000 you received is a "standard" car you might not be able to put aero kits on it other than the rear wing.
