A decision was recently made - about a week ago - to only permit comments to the News/Blog page from registered members. The news page essentially represents our public face, and allowing anyone and everyone to put whatever vague ramblings they wanted to on it without consequence left it looking a bit like a Youtube video comments section. Allowing only registered members to comment gives a much better impression of the real GTPlanet.
In your case, your account is activated but, with no posts made to our forum, not approved - Site Feedback is, I believe, the only part of the site that allows posts from inactive members, though your message needed approving before it appeared.
Now I'm not wholly sure if you'll be able to post a comment to the News/Blog with your current account as, yes, you have approved posts now, but they're in Site Feedback which has its own criteria, but give it a go. If it doesn't work, feel free to post something somewhere on the site - maybe an introduction in our Introduce Yourself forum - and then try again. Be aware that it might take a little time from your post being approved until you are allowed to post further comments as the database doesn't update instantly.
I'll add that members are only allowed one active account, so if you could pick which account you want to keep I can deactivate the other one.
