Cant control throttle

Weather I'm in practice or online, I cant control the throttle. I can steer the car and all but I can't use the throttle, brake, or reverse. I have changed my settings, restarted everything and it still won't work. Is this happening to anyone else?
 
Using what?...a wheel or DS3? I would attempt a "set to default" on the controls. If that does not work, try a different controller/wheel.
 
I used 2 black DS3's and a red DS3
 
Are you sure it's set to Controller 1?
 
try pressing start and start again while in race
 
At the first menu screen go to the options section and see how your controller is set up maybe it was changed somehow and you need to change it back.

Edit: as Royalefatale said: if you are driving online at Daytona you must hit start a couple times during the countdown...it's a problem with the game, not you.
 
Maybe they have been set to use analogue instead of the d-pad.
 
I will try the start and I've checked the settings many times
