I just bought myself a DFGT wheel yesterday but I just cant get to grips with the whole 900* wheel. I consider myself a GOOD drifter in any other game but the FFB of the wheel is FAR TOO strong even on lvl 1 to really maintain a smooth drift through the corners with out OVER steering on entry or OVER correcting the wheel on the exit. I have tried ALL options for the wheel and it makes NO difference at all. It feels like im driving a truck without power steering. PLEASE if anyone uses a DFGT and can drift with it I NEED YOUR HELP!

I had this exact same problem when I first started. It took me about a week to finally get it down though. Don't worry, keep practicing and eventually you'll find out how. And sure, the wheel is a little hard to turn at first. Crank it up to 10 force feedback and you'll have no problem once you get used to it.

When I first started, using the wheel completely psyched me out. I thought my problem was my countersteering and throttle control, but I actually noticed that my entries were terrible. I found that a good track to practice on one which has smooth, long corners (I think high speed ring is the name of it, not the oval track). Just try over-correcting yourself every time. Oh, and stick to a car with less that 500HP.

If you constantly oversteer, try counter-steering so hard that you snap back into the wall. If you keep snapping back, floor the gas and try and spin out. Soon you'll find a balance between the two.

Hope this helps.

Well I thought it was tough at first aswell, now I drift on FFB 7 or 8 without a problem, after a while you learn to work with the wheel not against it.

Hey thnx for the advice 👍 feel free to send me a friend request. I really need a good setup for a stable drift car. :ouch:

hey OzMadMan; add me, i have a DFGT as well and i suck too, but its getting better..

If you have a mic we can learn from eachother..

I bought and tuned an S13 cranked up the FFB to 6 and now im starting to get sideways on full lock. Though I still have a little trouble catching the wheel at the right point to straighten up on exit of the drift. So I put a strip of white tape on the top centre of the wheel to help me track the centre of the wheel when I'm throwing it side to side. It REALLY helps!
