Can't drive my 62 Buick in the World Class Series...

I wonder is it a glitch because it clearly says "A single-race event for historic cars from 1969 and earlier. Long live the classics!", and the only entry requirement is "1969" or earlier. I was hoping to crush the AI with it too.:grumpy:

if so, your buick stands no chance at all lol
 
No, the World Classic Car Series in the Beginner Series(I skip around a lot in the A-Spec), and 804hp wouldn't stand a chance?
 
in the historic racing cup it wouldnt, because there you are racing against Chapparels and toyota 7s, they would kill you

world classic car series you should do just fine though. :)

not sure why its not letting you enter the buick....tire restrictions?
 
horsepower is nothing. Its accel and handling like the toyota 7 has. Chapparel 2j and 2d are alot faster
 
Nope none what so ever, and It wouldn't let me into the Historic Racing Cup either.
 
I don't think the Buick has a specific year attached to it does it? That might be why you can't use it even though you know it's from before 1969.

Please correct me if I'm wrong though!💡
 
I was under the understanding that the '62 buick special is a retrotech show car with modern running gear in an old body. I don't remember where i read that so, can anyone verify or dispute this? cheers.

I believe that was part of the car's in-game write-up... so you'd be correct.
 
The Buick Special is for all intents and purposes a 2003 model year car.

Now, what is weird is that I'm pretty you used to be able to enter the car into the race.
 
I know that's what I thought. Guess they changed it with the update.
 
I'm fairly positive that I used that car for that event. They possibly changed it like some above me just said.

I remember trying this a long time ago before the patch and its not doable because the buick isnt made in 62 but moreso 2000~.
 
You could use it before. I took it in for a laugh, having never driven it and expecting it to be utter gash, and almost shat myself. I thought the game had glitched and given it my 3400S stats. Probably for the best that they disqualified it, but it was hilarious at the time.

And as said above: I tried it in the Historic Cup and got my ass handed to me.
