Can't get gold at Grand Tour, Eiger Nordwand with the Alfa 8C - Who has made it ?

That's the only gold I miss in the "Special Events", with the exception of Sebastian Vettel challenged wich I haven't unlocked yet (I know it's gonna be hard that too)
Someone has made it? Any suggestion ?
I'm still half a second behind the gold!

Best tip - do not spin the tires. If anything turns red, you've done something wrong. Even if you think you aren't pushing too hard, try adjusting the line, letting the car relax mid corner a little more, or being even more delicate on the throttle. You can let the car rotate down the steep hill after the hairpins, but you shouldn't actually lose traction entirely and slide.
 
I made it!!!
Thanks to you I must say!
I followed your tips, I set TCS at 7 (after trying several configurations) to get the least tire spinning, I made corners delicately, expecially the first 3 turns, which I all made in 1st gear, and after 1 hour of trying, I made it with a time of 16.8.
I'm so happy, really! That was my personal hardest test so far in GT5!

Now i've got all golds in "special events" (until I unlock sebastian vettel event of course!)
 
I am going to try it as well, bronze was the best I can do up till now, thanks for the tips.
 
Hehe funny you made it in the end with aids while I found that turning them off made it easier for me :) I am using a fanatec wheel though.
But this is one of the more challenging races for sure 👍

I've found out that setting good times without a wheel is much more difficult than I was expecting, I've just given a look to laptimes set in time trials of the new seasonal events, and most of laptimes are made with the wheel..
 
Just golded it!!!! Thought it was damn near impossible!!! But my time (with the controller) was 1:16.447!!!! IT CAN BE DONE!!!!
 
This isn't going to be very smart sentence but in my opinion difficulty of all the events depends on player - for example this 8c event - I golded it on my 3rd or 4th attempt with everything off and I am only begginer in playing using wheel. However I have quite big experience with Eiger - it was virtually the only track I was doing TTs on in Prologue (using sixaxis), on the other hand getting gold on second top gear challenge was impossible for me with srf off and I know people who golded that event almost instantly with everything off.
 
I am still struggling with this one. Would appreciate people sharing their set ups so we can try different ones (I mean set ups in the way of which aids on and how much etc.) and driving lines.

I use a Dualshock and this one keeps biting me.

as I've said before, I made it with TCS at 7, manual gearbox, abs 1, and nothing else - I made the first corners in 1st gear, to increase speed in corners
