so... I'm sure I could fiddle and tinker - but it's so much easier to ask for a quick solution to what I'm doing wrong because it's probably a rookie error thats an easy fix...

I recently got my Fanatec GT2 / Clubsport V2 pedal set up hooked up to gt6
my shifter is on backorder - so I'm all AT right now or paddle shifter

When playing with the paddle shifter - If I put the car in the wall (which driving with a wheel for the first time I find I'm doing A LOT) I can't figure out how to get the sucker in reverse
and then also it just stalls/wont engage and just sits there in 1st but I cant get the car to move.

I have TRIANGLE set up as my reverse for AT driving - and that works fine - just press and hold that and I can reverse and then the gas pedal puts me in drive again

but why am I trapped in an immobile state when trying to drive with the padal shifters once I stop or crash
no reverse and cant engage

any help as to what I'm doing wrong - or different settings would be GREATLY appreciated... I gotta imagine AT SOME POINT I'll figure out how to drive again (with a wheel) and it would be nice to not have to drive A.T. all the time

HELP

(also - I'm so geeked out by the wheel and pedals - I had no idea what I was missing!!!)

Don't you just downshift to below first? Like - R/N/1/2/3 ect...

it still doesn't work for me... you can get shift up and down so I can get in R or get in 1 but it just doesnt move... gas pedal no worky / triagle (mapped reverse button) no worky

Huh. I have reversed, but it felt so elementary I never really bothered to remember how. So I went out and tried just now and yes, if you shift under 1st (no neutral) you're in reverse, then you hit the gas to back up. Also, holding down Triangle is like reverse + gas at once.

I'll play with it!!! I was "drinking and driving" so that could have something to do with it...

I dont know why on other occasions I just got STUCK though and it wouldnt even engage 1st to move forward...

I'll maybe evaluate the problem a bit better to explain what and when its happening

press and hold the shifter paddle once in reverse. Honestly it's the dumbest thing I've ever experience but thats what worked for me
