Can't get into Autoshow

I'm about an hour or so into the game. I have completed a few races and got my first house for free etc.

However I can't seem to get into the Autoshow. I got a load of free cars with the ultimate edition and was looking forward to trying them all out. The game acknowledges I have these cars and tells me to pick them up, but the menu tab for the auto show is greyed out and won't open.

Is this normal? At what stage does the Autoshow open up, or do I have a particular problem and need to reboot or something?
 
Did you complete the Tarn Hows Scramble race in the Autumn? After that race usually the Autoshow unlocks.
