Can't remove the GTR SpecV from my garage...

Hi guys, quick question for the pros: I recently got the GTR SpecV (GT Academy Special) for entering the GTS time trial. I added it to my garage, drove it for a while, decided to get rid of it. The problem is, the game won't let me remove it from my garage. The prompt only says, "This car cannot be sold" with no other options.

This is the first time I've had this problem with GT5, have any of you guys run across this or something similar before? Rebooting everything hasn't helped.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice you can give...
 
Huh. Well, that sucks. Is there any particular reason for that, 'cause it seems pretty strange...
 
Why? Running out of garage space (2000 cars!)?
 
You can. It should say “this car cannot be sold. Delete it from your garage?”. Then you say yes, and boom! it's gone.
 
No, I just like to keep the number down to the ones I actually use. What sense does it make to not be able to remove a car, any car?

Yeah, I've done that before for many cars; this is the first one I can't. There's no "Do you wish to remove this car from your garage" option coming up like before.

It might be because it's sort of 'DLC'. It may be deleteable, as DLC generally isn't.
 
I mean, I'm not an R35 fan, the GTAcademy is the only premium one I have (for the sake of this discussion I'm referring to the Tokyo concept as an R35), but if it can't be deleted from the garage why fuss over it?

Nice of them to warn us about that before it was too late. Pretty ridiculous that you can't control what's in your own garage.

Oh well. The more complicated a thing gets, the more that go wrong with it.

I hear ya, I'm just one of those kooks who like to delete extraneous cars I'm not in love with and never gonna use. No big deal.
 
I still don't see why you want to get rid of it.. Why should they have "warned" us?

Don't know what else to say. Some peops like to pare down their garages, others never get rid of a single car. I'm the former. Is it really that bizarre?

Ya I ran into the same thing with the race karts....I dont like the race karts and imo, the idea was a waste of time from the get go. I never use them but I received 3 from the DLC. It wont let me get rid of them now.

It's bizarre that you feel the need to complain about such a tiny thing. It's one car. Get over it.
 
OP - DLC cars can't be deleted, it's made for prevention of deletion of paid cars by accident.

Didn't he just ask for help in deleting a car? Where exactly did he complain? I mean, apart from complaining about people complaining for him asking a question?

In all honesty, I too want full control over my garage, I actually want to be able to delete whatever car I choose to delete, and I'd equally prefer to know in advance if there's a car I can't actually delete. I, for one, didn't know you couldn't delete that one either.

A word of advise, though, unclehuntski, do not make two or more posts in a row, it'll get you in trouble on this forum. If you need to respond to multiple posts, and/or add other information, put it all into a single post, and/or edit your last post.

Do not post unless you have something useful to contribute to the thread, OP is asking for help and he's greeted by beeing called stupid for wanting to delete a car, wow.

They cannot be removed or sold..

Word, doctorrg, I appreciate your and most of the others' post on this insignificant matter. Didn't expect to run across trolls in this forum for some reason.

Anyway, been into GT since '00, so thanks to the real community...
