Can't save the game in series race ?

I can not find save mode in series race. Let's said I finished race I on series race and want to save before I enter race II. And I can not find a save mode to save the game. Advise please...

when you exit the championship, you will get a message asking you if you want to come back and continue the series later. Select OK for that. Go back to your home and save. There will be a flashing message in the top corner telling you that you are still partway through a series.

To elaborate, in case you fail to observe it, which is possible: There are two ways to exit the championship at the end or beginning of races. The normal exit icon with the green arrow allows you to exit the championship, return to your garage and save the game, as Daan said. But there's also a quit championship icon, which looks like a cop's hand when he's pulling you over for speeding: That one will quit you out of the championship, so that you would have to start it again from the beginning. Use the green arrow one, not the white hand one.

Or you can just hit the Triangle button to exit out, it has the same effect as the green arrow...I think...

Also, once you've exited and saved you cannot do any thing but wash your car and change
your oil. If you try to enter any other races it will ask you if you want to exit the championship you are currently running or continue.
