In the Team GTP Banner thread, the first 5 banners that I made didn't have borders, so I remade them with borders. However, when I tried to re-attach them, it wouldn't work. I even tried re-naming them, and they still weren't updated. I don't mind attaching the new banners in separate posts, but I'm just wondering as to why I can't make different attachments to posts.

[edit]: To clarify: When I go to "edit" those posts, I choose the "upload new attachment" box, then browse for the new banner. Then, I hit Submit, and it all works out fine, but when I go back to check on the post, it's still the old attachment. I've even tried reloading several times just to make sure I'm not seeing cached data.

Well, off the top of my head I don't see why it wouldn't work. I'm going to try it in this post and see what kind of results I get.

Well, it appears to be working fine for me. What browser/OS are you using?

Same as always ;) ... Chimera Navigator with OS X.2

I can try it in IE (for OS X) if you want.

How terribly interesting!

In IE For OSX, the attachments do show up with borders! The curious thing is that I know it's not a cache problem... I've rloaded so many times, and Chimera is really good about not bringing up chached data from the dead anyway (in fact, IE is so bad about it, that it still showed GTP with the Christmas theme! :scared:).

Well, I just did a quick test, and found some interesting results... I was using the normal view, where attachments are shown right in posts. Now, I've switched it so that attachments appear as links, and when I click on the link, it shows the updated version!

Isn't that just odd... :boggled:

Well, anyway, I'll just have to do with this link view. Thanks anyway! ;)

That is weird. I wish there was more I could do to help, but I'm at a complete loss.

I was going to suggest that you save the file under a different name before you try to edit, and uploaded the updated image. That makes me wonder howmany other images you are seeing old traces of, without seeing the new uploaded images of other members as well. I know with a lot of my banners, I have uploaded several different variations until I was completely happy with that version.

Wonna trade your iBook for my PC? :D

Yeah... oh well, it seems to work now, provided that I'm in that link view, which still boggles me.
