Cant Update GT5

Hey guys, im new here

Anyway, i have a slight problem, i have a Disk Based Version of GT5 Prologue a friend imported for me.

Anyway, ive tried to download the multiplayer update with my UK account, and it fails within a minute or two.

Ive tried downloading it with my JPN account, and it fails at about 10% every time. Here is the error message....

You're experiencing the same update problems as the majority of Prologue buyers. It just is a matter of being patient and trying until you succeed.

Welcome to GTP by the way!

There's a Prologue subforum in the Gran Turismo 5 forum, so technically, this thread would have belonged there. You'd probably also have found these threads, which already contain the above answer.

Hi Guys, I was able to add the online gameplay feature last night, first you should check with the playstation website and make sure their network status is up, here is the link: http://www.us.playstation.com/PS3/Network Since I was using WIFI, I turned off everything else connected to router so the playstation doesn't get bumped off for whatever reason, rebooted the PS3 and inserted the GT5 disc and it updated okay! It took me a total two nights, so it just takes a bit of patiences. Feel free and add my PSN ID: MH604, look forward to racing you guys online!

Today I had the same problem. During an internet test with the PS3, I got a message that the linksys router could cause problems with certain games. I disconnected the router and untill now, at 80%, the update download is going well.
