Can't update to 2.01

Hello, I've been trying to update my game to version 2.01 but it just won't do it. I get about 30% of the way after downloading for roughly 10hours and it then just boots me out of the download.

It's only a gig...so why it's so slow to download, is beyond me. I've got the latest PS3 download, this worked fine - but trying to download the GT5 updates just isn't working for me. I've tried wifi and ethernet - no good. Takes about 10minutes just for 1% to show complete on downloading...

What are my other options, other than complaining? My PS3 is showing 4.9mb download speed...and my PC is operating perfectly, as are other games and downloads within my PS3 arena.

Can it be downloaded from their website? I've looked but - it all points towards having to download it via my PS3's connection :(

Help please, had just purchased the track pack too (before updating - unsure if this has complicated said issues).

Thanks for your help - I just want to play an up to date GT5, never have this issue with iRacing!

Strangely, I had the same problem when I first tried to download this update. I shut down my PS3 and tried again and got a much faster server the 2nd time. I see that you have tried wifi and ethernet, but maybe another thing to try is signing completely out of PSN and then sign back in and try again.

Just a thought, if you haven't tried it yet. Maybe you are just stuck with a bad server at the moment.
 
Try a different patch cable, prefereably cat5-E

maybe reset PS3 network settings (re-autodetect), powercycle router after,
 
Tried resetting router, tried swapping router...tried deleting old stored data...just can't seem to get any advance.

It has to either be;

1) an issue with my network (will try my parents place out on Sunday)

2) my actual hardware/PS3

3) an issue with the Polyphony/Sony servers that enable me to download content.

The PS3 software downloads, downloaded fine. Minutes later - GT5 downloads fail...

Just not sure who to contact for help, other than this forum lol
 
Take your ps3 round a freinds house to do the update if all else fails.

^^ Have you tried this mate?

Aside from that I do not know... Have you deleted your GT5 cache via the options in-game?

If your internet is fine and signing out of PSN does not work then I am at a loss :(

Maybe try on a second PS3 profile?
