Hey guys.

I have nill experience in this sort of stuff and googling was about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. I bought a Kworld USB 2800D capture device. I know it works. But I do not know what wires to but and where to put them.

So basically I am useless :lol: What do I need? A link to the thing on amazon.co.uk? Where do you put them? possibly a diagram would help :)

Thank you for any help.

Obviously the USB goes into the computer or whatever you want to bring the video into. The S-video/Composite is where you plug in the device you're getting the video and audio from.

I assume you're recording from a gaming console? Stick the usb into your computer, and join the composite cables from the ps3 to the other end of the capture device.

Does not work. If I plug it directly into the recording device how can I see it on the TV :lol:

Once you have the setup that AOS- described, you should then be able to see what would normally be displayed on your TV, being displayed on your computer monitor. Assuming it comes with it's own video editing software, that is. Then there's probably a record button and a spot to select where to save the file, name the file and all that jazz.

Here's a quick diagram of what should go where assuming you want to record from a PS3:

/>---Yellow (Video) Composite Cable -----> Yellow 2800D Port \
PS3>--White (Audio) Composite Cable -----> White 2800D Port >---KWorld USB 2800D---> USB Port On CPU
\>--Red (Audio) Composite Cable ------------> Red 2800D Port /

Good luck!

Yes it does but the Screen is Tiny :lol: It is just bigger than a potage stamp of a screen. Like it is in windows movie maker, but not that program :)

You probably have your monitor's resolution pretty high and the composite cables pump out only 480p so it can appear small. Especially if your program is set to zoom out. Maybe try zooming in with the editing software you have and see if it gets more visible 👍

Well that is not the only problem. When trying it with a teenie screen the audio does not come though *grumpy face*

I will try what you said though thanks :)

Make sure the program you're using has the audio input set to whatever the device name is.

Fair shout :)

Fair shout. I looked online, and found why. I needed some extra wires :grumpy: . So if I do get it up and running I will make sure to post on here. May put a video up of the things you need and how to set it up for future reference. :)

My brother owns the same capture device which I have borrowed in the past.

The supplied software is nasty but it gets the job done.
* I've never found a way to increase the display size above 1/4 screen size.
* Audio has been hit and miss on different computers.
* The device suffers very noticeable input lag, so if you cannot get your hands on some splitters to connect your TV at the same time then you can only realsitically record replays and not live gaming.

Bought some splitters on amazon today 👍 The software given is a bit grim isn't it :lol: I use XP which is known for being better at audio and video creating and watching etc than 7 and vista so I am already a tiny step ahead. Like I said once I have it up and running I will get a video up and going about it :)

I have it all now running :) I will do a video of what and how when I can :)
