Okay, I've searched the forums ( limited ) for a thread similar, so excuse me if I missed it with my myopic search ability :dopey: , However I think it would serve the site well to have a sticky or to add to an existing sticky, exactly how to edit a video and which software is the best, and/or easiest to use.

I've seen some really great video's and some really average video's. Sure, I can capture my replay, compress it and post it, but who wants to watch a replay? You can do that on your own :dunce:

So, post what software you like to use, if it's free - please post a link. I don't mind sitting down and tweaking a video to the Nth degree, but I have to have something simple enough to use that doesn't require me to go to a multimedia class to figure out.

A tutorial would be great, if anyone has a link they'd like to share. GT4 has so much more to offer once you've acquired a capture card. Let's help the creativity flow by offering up some techniques on building a better video 👍

I use Windows Movie Maker2, it's a good programme. You can put background music to it and an intro, an end also :P I used that for my SOCOM2 cheating movie but didn't used it for GT4 yet. You can download it on the MS website :)

Problem is that you have to download SP2 to get it...meh, I'm not sure if I want SP2 yet.

I've got Adobe Premiere and was just messing with it a little. The biggest problem I have is cutting the footage down into manageable clips and getting them trimmed properly. I figured out how to set the in and out of the area of the clip I want to pull out of the original, but managing the individual clips is difficult to figure out. I want to be able to clip, then view what I clipped independantly so I can tweak the clip.

I'll tell you what, if getting SP2 and Movie Maker 2 is going to be easier than trying to figure out Adobe Premiere...at least so that I can get a firm grasp on how this video editing actually works, then I guess I'll bite the bullet. I figured this might be a bit more complicated than making an animated avatar in Photoshop, but I just can't seem to grasp what the program is doing with/ or wants to do with my work.

I got a dazzle usb capture device over the weekend. havent tried editing with it yet but will try to throw something together soon. If i remember ill come back and add some opinions of it.
