Here is my experience thus far...

Dealerships - offer slim pickings of each brand. Approx 1 tenth of each brand

Used Dealership - offers random 30 or so cars that changes frequently

Do I have to wait till my favorite cars show up in the used dealership to buy them? I feel like GT5 promised me every car I've ever dreamed of yet now teases me with one every week...

PS If someone wants to gift me some Porsches (RUFs) or old Alfa's go right ahead. ;)

The 200 or so Premium cars will always be availiable in the Dealership.

But the other 800 or so Standard cars have a random rotation in the Used Dealership.

I believe they refresh each day or after each race... not too sure, barely begun and I have the handful of cars I am focusing on.

you get 6 cars refreshed after every event you take place in, license or race.

worst feature in GT5 tbh...

💡 Two birds with one stone:

I think you just have to deal with it, this has always been like this for full GT games, it's a tradition and it is good as it is... That's what make the charm of GT.

Sorry but you just cant have everything you want right away, just like in life :dunce:

Wow Kids nowadays have such ideas and expectations of appropriating things, with such instant gratification, it's becoming sad :ouch:

What's the merit? Do guys even know what that word means?

:indiff:

Load License Test B1, next, next, next, next, Exit on B5. Go back to the Car Lot, entire Lot has been cycled!

You'll need some money, the RUFs start at about 100k and go up to about 500k.

Hi. It's a video game, and I paid for it. I didn't mind the used dealership in GT4 and previous GTs (I've been playing since the first one) because I had all the cars I wanted at the regular dealership. Now, MOST good cars (some of them 2005) are in the used dealership because PD are too slow to develop them as premium.

Edit-

The least they could do is add a middle option, like "Old car dealership" where they sell '00+ cars as standards. Leave the used dealership for 90s or pre-90s...

Edit-

I hate people who want instant gratification too, and GT used to make me feel special because it required patience. What we're discussing here isn't patience. I wouldn't mind waiting to beat the game to access the cars, it's just that I'll probably never run into them. They're way too many..

It's really not that bad, if you keep checking, just don't wait for one specific car. As long as you actually like more than one car there's a constant stream of fun stuff to be found in there.

You are a terrible person, stop being self-righteous. I'm not a kid and I'm not trying to be impatient. When I play a game I expect to atleast have the possibility of conquering it based on my skill and commitment. Having a used car dealership which is essentially a lottery adds nothing to my gaming experience. If anything I'm unmotivated to play because the cars I'm a fan of (old audis, bmws, porsches, alfa's, and more) will rarely show up. After beating the game I will be stuck in a wait period in the hopes that my favorite cars will pop up.

In addition to this, when you buy a used car it automatically requires chassis work and engine work...So the game is worse than real life. In real life I can go buy a perfect condition 80's BMW if I have enough money. However in GT's world I must settle for a lottery in which the winning ticket is always torn up and I must mend it?

You're losing vet fans quickly PD...

I may just start street racing. Aren't games supposed to be better than real life to keep you off the streets?

Seriously?

Uh, obviously? Did you buy GT5 with a single car in mind? A game that offers no less than 1031 of them? Almost everyone who buys this game likes more than one car, thus it isn't difficult find find one you'll enjoy by clicking on the used dealership.

I'm sure PD are crying into their coffee as .01% of forum boys whine like babies and ditch the game.

No, but we all bought the game having a specific list of cars we'd like to have. If you're buying the game for random cars then try not to use anything besides a diahatsu or however the hell its spelled.

What sucks is, MOST cars you'd want are standard. In the old GTs, you got pretty much all you wanted as long as u leveled up enough. Now, your progression is out of the equation.

Oh and about PD, of course they don't give a **** about hardcore fans. No business ever does, they lock their eyes on the kids and newbies and make billions out of them. Doesn't matter if the game's bad right? they can strip it out all they want. 5 years from now they'll release a new one and the population would probably double, with more kids new to the series wanting to buy the game.
