Car Classifications?

I've noticed, depending on the mods I have on my CTR, it will say "SM" or "RSS" or some other things next to the name at the beginning of the replay. Could someone explain this in more detail? Is this like the SCCA AutoX classifications?
 
i beliieve those are the tires
SM= Sports Medium
RSS = Racing Super Soft
and so on and so forth
(i think i'm right about this, if not, somebody please correct me!)
 
Confirmed. Those are codes for the tires in the fron in rear. As in, if you're just stupid or game is broken it might say SNW RSS and you would have snow tires up front and racing super slicks in the back. That had me stumped for the first few hours, too.
