Car Damage

I was trying to do the achievement a long while ago that requires you lose a piece of your car... I had tried it with a Lamborghini Gallardo, but to no avail. Later I went onto an off-road coarse with a ford... Took a door off. I was wondering if anyone had done this with a road car, or if it is even possible, 'cause I know if the Gallardo even bumps something with it's front guard, it almost gets taken off!

Only possible with the rally cars I think.

Quite true, nothing else seems to lose parts like those WRC cars.

Best bet is to do this:

Arcade mode -> single race -> World circuits -> Daytona International Speedway. Then choose a WRC car. As soon as the race starts, turn around and drive backwards into the other cars. My door fell off after about five laps, so make sure to increase the number of laps to about ten or so; that way the AI cars will be going as fast as they can, so they'll damage you more.
 
The BLITZ DUNLOP ER34 SKYLINE (D1GP) '07 (If not this one, it's the other tuned version) also have the advanced damage model that includes doors falling off.

You're lucky. I drove the wrong way into oncoming cars for forever and never had anything fall off. Parts flopped around for a half hour but nothing fell off.

What worked for me was going to Eiger Nordwand, turning around at the start and going to the tunnel, and then parking in the tunnel perpendicular to the track so that I blocked as much of the road as I could and waited for the cars to come through to slam into me. If I thought they were going to go around, I either moved forwards or backwards to block their paths. The first time they came around I had parts fall off.
 
Some of the road cars do get a noticeable dent but not to the degree that the fragments come off - only premium rally cars with which you get rid of the doors beside the cabs.
 
Thanks guys for all your answers! I was just curious really... Nice about the Skyline. Wonder what others are advanced damage.
