Several older posts indicate that buying the rigidity roll-cage is not such a good idea as it may cause oversteer depending upon the car you have. The blurb in the tuner area also mentions this effect. Of course, once bought, the roll-cage cannot be removed and any oversteer would have to be adjusted by manually tuning the suspension. Other posts mention that the rigidity cage purchase is a good thing in the long run as, for example, it helps prevent deterioration of the car's handling during endurance races by maintaining the integrity of the car body, and over the lifetime of the car in general. I have bought both the rigidity cage and the continually refresh in an effort to get the best possible performance out of my BMW V12 LMR, along with frequent oil changes, as I'm sure most people have done to their favorite cars.
My question is; does anyone have updated information which can attest to the apparent handling and power deterioration of these cars and how the rigidity option and refresh option are to be best applied?
Thanks!
