Thats exactly what I do, but

sometimes I still have problems. :(

I have noticed often if park away (even far away) cars start parking next to me anyway. Its like having a dot of rust that spreads.

Some people are such cattle. All they do is follow the heard.

It's amazing, if there's a line at the Cust service desk at work and I'm at my register waiting for someone to come over there so I can check them out people still go to the cust service line..........Then I say............"Uh, Hello! I can get someone over here, you know.." Instantly half the line moves over. But NOBODY will move unless there's that one brave soul who breaks out of line. All the rest will only follow and the ONLY way to make them draw attention to themselves is to leave them no option or point it at them. Un freakin believable.

I agree, no they don't. I've tapped other cars with my door, never on purpose. I'm not talking slamming to door open into the car next to me, I'm talking tight gap, opening the door slowey and sometimes as I'm getting out the door taps the car next to me, it doesn't happen ofter, but not once has it been on purpose. and to my knowledge I've never left a mark, but when I'm in a tight space I always open the door slowly, slow enough to make sure if I do accidentally tap the next car it doesn't leave a mark.

That's what I do too, and what everyone should do. Even if they're in a hurry.

I believe there's a mathematical equation explaining how doing something purposely, yet unaware of the fact, is physically impossible. Fammie porbably knows it.

Yeah, he's good like that

Anyway, this reminds me of an incident that happened to me shortly after I got my car, sort of related.

I was trying to find a park in a parking lot, and this old guy and I came up to the same space at the same time, but from different directions. He waved me in, so I parked. He then proceeded to get out of his car (leaving it in the middle of the driveway, walk over to my car, and started kicking the crap out of my drivers door, screaming all sorts of abuse. Luckily there was a pair of cops coming out of the store, and the guy was politely escorted to the station. Turns out he had forgotten to take his medication for scitsophrenia <spelling??? or whatever, so I didn't press charges. I still have the dent, along with the one from when a kangaroo ran into me (big ba****d too!)

I normally put my hand or fingers between my door and the other car

Phew...good thing he was on medication, because I thought he just started beating the crap out of your car for no reason. Medication explains it all.

You didn't get some money from insurance to fix the door? It was an "accident' isn't it?
