car does not accelerate

i can´t the play the game serious, because i´m to bad to finish even the first driving school event. My cars speed accelerate very slowly
in comparison to the videos. Im just press my r2 button on the controller, can someone tell me if this is a bug, or do i have to do anything in the settings?

Verify on screen that you're applying full throttle. I've personally seen 2 friends, and heard multiple more stories of people whose controller R2 buttons even when fully down, are only applying half throttle.
