series 1 land rover, the roof, back door, door tops, door bottoms and windscreen can all come off with ease :p i think its pretty neat anyway lol and how easy it is to take the hard top off and make it a soft top in minutes :D

Why do we need a beeper to tell us the car is in reverse?

Because Toyota no longer thinks drivers are actually involved in driving their cars (which is pretty much true in the US). Therefore, you need a 'beep' reminder that the car is in reverse, a 'ding' reminder to tell you that you're going forward, and a giant spike up from the seat to remind you that you're in a car.

My Probe raises the lights together, no "one then the other" winking syndrome mentioned before.

It will if you raise & lower them fast enough. The hydraulics are off to one side, so there's a slight delay in the triggering of motion. Switch the lights on & off quickly for a while, and you'll see it.

Once in however a few people have in the past got trapped, as the doors have no interior pull to open them. Instead you have a big metal ball on the transmission tunnel, and you have to twist that in the direction of the door you want to open. It serves no purpose at all, being a very convoluted route to opening the door, but damn its cool.

Ha! I totally would have gotten stuck in the car. I would have had no idea how to open the doors. :D

So they still have a mess of buttons, they just brushed it under the rug. :dunce:

Features borrowed from the Jeep CJ. :D

To this day a new Jeep Wrangler still features removable doors, removable tops and a hinged windshield.

Heres a couple tidbits about the Talon:

1. On the later first-generation cars ('92-'94), there is a blank button that never was used. It's a carryover from the earlier cars with popup headlights.

2. The interior is soft. The dash, entire console, and door panels are made out of a dense foam covered in some sort of flexible plastic. Neat-o.

and then excelled jeeps :D always impressed me with their abilities
the short wheelbase version of the Land Rover Defender is capable of tackling a gradient of 45 degrees, an approach angle of up to 50 degrees, a departure angle of 53 degrees and a ramp break-over of up to 155 degrees - greatly superior not just to urban 4x4s but to military vehicles such as the HMMWV and Pinzgauer High Mobility All-Terrain Vehicle
even from the beginning they were so capable, of course the modern chelsea tractors not so much but the models from back in the day when they were built for military and farm use are very handy still over 50 years on :D

Remember this is before the keyless entry was used. Before keyless entry you had to actually put the key in and turn it to lock the car (I know, crazy right?), if you were lucky and you had a nice car all the locks would lock when locking the drivers door.

Kind of odd, since they're raised electrically. . . :sly:

Seriously, I can understand it happening if one motor is a bit weak, or one light's bushings are a bit corroded or jammed. I was just pointing out that mine don't do that.
