Here's a challenge for all you GT3 nuts...

Which single car is eligible for the most number of championships/series?

1989 MX-5/Miata, I'd guess.

It's eligible for:
Beginner
Sunday Cup
Clubman Cup
FR Challenge
Spider & Roadster
80's Sports Car
Race of NA Sports
Race of Turbo Sports
GT World Championship

Amateur
Japanese Championship
American Championship
European Championship
GT World Championship
DTC
FR Challenge
80's Sports Car
Race of NA Sports
Race of Turbo Sports
GT All-Stars
AJGTC
Dream Car

Professional
British GT Cup
GT World
FR Challenge
Spider & Roadster
NA
Turbo
GT All-Stars
AJGTC
Dream Car
PD Cup
Like The Wind

Rally
SSR5 Wet
SSR5 Wet Reverse

Endurance
All, including Roadster.

That's 43 series... :D

Any car is eligible for EITHER the Turbo or NA events -- some can enter both.
Any car is eligible for ONE of the FF, FR, MR, 4WD events.
Any car is eligible for EITHER the Race Car events (just Formula GT) or Normal events (PD Cup, Trial Mountain Enduro)
Many cars are eligible for the 8 non-wet rally events.

So, what it really comes down to is finding a car that can rally, switch between NA and Turbo, and that is also able to enter the most of the following:

1 Lightweight Cup
2 Stars & Stripes
2 Spider & Roadster
2 Boxer Spirit
2 80's Cup
2 Tourist Trophy
1 Italian Avant Garde
2 Race of Red Emblem
2 Legend of Silver Arrow
2 Altezza Race
2 Vitz Race
2 Type-R Meeting
2 Evolution Meeting
1 Beetle Cup
1 Elise Trophy
1 Clio Trophy
1 Tuscan Challenge

I can't think of a car that can enter more than 4 races (2 events) in that list. The Miata can do 80's cup, Spider & Roadster and Roadster Endurance, and it can do both NA/Turbo, but it can't rally. The Skyline R32 can rally, it can enter Red Emblem and 80's, but it can't enter NA.

That means that the car that can enter the most events is the Acura Integra, because it can enter both Stars & Stripes, both Type-R Meetings, NA and Turbo events, Rally events, and all the standard stuff.

Acura Integra Type R: 50 events

Beginner: 8
Sunday Cup
Clubman Cup
FF Challenge
Stars & Stripes
Race of NA Sports
Race of Turbo Sports
Type-R Meeting
GT World Championship

Amateur: 13
Japanese Championship
American Championship
European Championship
GT World Championship
German Touring Car Championship
FF Challenge
Stars & Stripes
Race of NA Sports
Race of Turbo Sports
GT All Stars
All Japan GT Championship
Type-R Meeting
Dream Car Championship

Professional: 10
British GT Cup
GT World Championship
FF Challenge
Race of NA Sports
Race of Turbo Sports
GT All Stars
All JGTC
Dream Car Championship
Polyphony Digital Cup
Like the Wind

Rally: All 10

Endurance: 9 - All except Roadster Endurance

MX-5/Eunos Roadster = 41 Events
Acura Integra Type-R = 49 Events

What about the RUF 3400S? It would seem that it would tie the Acura ITR, by substituting the Spyder & Roadster Cup and the Boxer Cup for the Star & Stripes and Type-R Meeting. FF ~> MR is obviously a wash.

A-ha, you're right. D'oh! :D

But..

Ruf RGT isn't... :D

Plus you've got additional weird cars like the Mine's Evo, Mine's R34, Nismo R-Tune, Nismo S-Tune, TRD Celica, Spoon Civic, Tommy kaira ZZII and Toyota Altezza LM which aren't eligible for either PD Cup/Trial Mountain enduro OR Formula GT...

Ruf 3400S can't rally.

How about one of the race cars? A race car opens up the Formula GT Series as well.

It can't rally? I can't say I've tried, but are you sure?

Is there any rhyme or reason behind what cars can fit dirt tires, and which cannot? It really seems arbitrary.

However, a rce car can't enter the Polyphony Digital cup, so that's a wash.

But an Evo race car opens up the Evo meetings... Back on level ground :D

What car are you talking about? The Mine's Lancer Evolution VI is the closest thing to an Evo race car in GT3, and it can't enter the Evolution Meetings. On top of that, as you already said, it can't enter the PD Cup, Trial Mountain Enduro, or the Formula GT. On top of that, it can't enter anything at all from that list of restricted races, and finally it has a permanant Turbo.

So, if my calculations are correct, it can only enter 41 events, which is less than any other car that can use rally tires -- even the CTR2 can enter 42.

So, what's the car that can enter the least number of events?

It looks like the ZZII can't enter any NA races, no non-wet rally races and no Trial Mountain / PD Cup or Formula GT, which puts it at 33 events, I think.

You mean, other than the Lancer EvoVI WRC and the Lancer EvoVII Prototype? :D

Actually, that's a good question... They always fall into my mind as race cars, 'cos of the whole race-body, downforce bit, but GT3 does class them as rally cars...

Interesstink...

Yes, I just tried to enter a Puegot 206 Rally car into the F1 championship, it works. Rally cars are considered Race cars which allow them to enter the F1 championship.

So are we leaning towards a Lancer Rally edition as the car eligible for the most races?

AO

Well, they do have numbers on the side (at least a place for a number on the prototype), so I guess that means there are two Evo race cars.

Reviving...this thread...CPr...

Elise 190 can enter: Normal, rally, MR, NA, turbo, Spid&Road, Elise

Might that be the most eligible?

The other would be the Miata with: normal, FR, NA, turbo, 80's, Spid&Road, Roadster

AO

The Elise 190 and Acura Integra can both enter normal, rally, NA, Turbo and MR and FF races respectively.

When it comes to the specific car events, you've got:

Elise 190
2 Spider & Roadster
1 Elise Trophy

Acura Integra
2 Stars & Stripes
2 Type-R Meeting

So that's 49 events.

I think the most is the Integra with 50 and the least is the ZZII with 33.

even though the integra can enter alot of races it sucks for proformance against some of the comp cars in the higher end races
