Car gifting questions

I have 2 ps3's and was wondering if the gifting is monitored by the ps3 or the IP address.
Currently all my cpu's ps3 etc have a different IP address, but when I set up the new router the other day both ps3's had the same IP address. I would like to continue to trade off both units daily so any input is appreciated
 
I trade with a couple people that have 2 PS3's and there is no IP issue as far as I know.

Edit: Next time one of them is online I will send them to this thread.

I have two ps3's and trade to myself all the time. It seems to be linked to your account and ps3, nothing to do with your IP.

I have two accounts on one ps3 and can trade between them
