Car headlights not working w/ 2.0 at night

I was just trying out the new weather/time settings introduced in the 2.0 patch. I did a practice session on the ring with a nascar. I started the race at 6pm and by the second lap it was really dark, my gauges showed my cars headlights turn on but they weren't actually on for my car or my opponents. I had to stop the race cause I couldn't see 5 feet in front of me.
