Guys, I have quite a difficult request; basically I seen a car today and have no idea what it was. I have no pictures (hence: DIFFICULT). All I can say is:

A) It was practically identical in dimensions to a Mazda Carol except the roof was less 'angled'(I googled Carol and it's definitely not it).

B) The Reg was: ST(followed directly by some sort of country badge)AU 311

Please help me identify this. I've googled all my ideas to no avail. There's a fully tuned 205/5 Turbo to whoever gets it.

Thanks.
Zm.

Important Info: I only sen the REAR/SIDES of the car.

Presuming you mean the 1960s Mazda Carol, the only cars I can think of are the Ford Anglia 105e, the Toyota Will Vi (much newer), and the Citroen Ami 6. Was it a classic car or a more modern one?

The numberplate you saw sounds like a German one:

Nope, none of those.
The Reg plate you posted is the same (layout).
I don't know if this'll help, but the model name of the car (I.e 'Focus') was written in "signature writing" ON the boot-lid just beneath the rear window on the offside/driver side (presuming it was RHD).

I do appreciate you helping. :)

It was entirely white, I didn't see any logos etc. Based on homeforsummers posts, the car definitely isn't from Scotland. Otherwise my 'carcheck' wouldve identified it. :D

Okay, so I know this isn't a classic and it doesn't have a badge in script, but it looks a bit like a Mazda Carol and could be mistaken as a classic if you saw it fleetingly.

Toyota WiLL Vi

The Ford Anglia also has similar proportions to a Carol, is a classic and has a script font for the badge...

THAT is DEFINITELY not it! :D

The Anglia doesn't have the badge on its bonnet lid though.

I think I've got it!

From what I remember, I'm sure it's a Vespa 400!

I'm thinking what you're thinking; "Mazda Carol?! WTF?!".
:D Sorry, but I (being my VERY sad self) was just quite desperate to find out what it was, and that's what first popped into my mind when I tried to remember it. :)

It's been a good month of car spotting for me; a Hyundai Veloster, a F430 Spider, a Suzuki Sport '12 (latest model), a Ypsilon, a Delta (new model - Chrysler) and now THIS. :D
Of course, you non-UK residents probably won't understand why these cars are 'rare'. Try living in yhe countryside and seeing a Veyron ;)

Anyways, I'm so happy now, I'll give away the 205/5 Turbo to whoever can guess what my favorite car is (it's Italian and the brand 'belongs to' Fiat/ is under Fiats 'unbrella'). :)
Thanks for all your help guys.

Zm.
In the end all I did was type in '1960 cars' into google, scrolled a couple of pages and 'bang!', I recognized it.

EDIT: Woop! 400th Post. The 400 is obviously because of the Vespa 400!. Obviously! :D:lol:

Ah, I can see what you were going for there. It is fleetingly similar to the Carol, though the back window is a completely different angle!

Well, you must love Ferrari, but which model...? Hmmm... 288 GTO? Well, that's mine.

Scrub that, I'm going to say Maserati is your favourite. Model...? Bora?

Well, you got the Manufacturer correct. Try to think more modern.

I'll go even more hardcore than the MC Stradale and go Granturismo MC GT4...

It's quite awkward, because this^ is a seriously nice car; but I just don't prefer the vinyls. (I'd never heard of/seen it before now).

Sorry, Rue! :)

EDIT: (Sorry for double posting)

Ugh... well done, SVX :ouch:

You don't have to have the MC GT4 with stickers....

Yeah, I suppose. But even then, when I asked the question, I had never heard of the MC GT4, so it wouldn't really be fair for me to change my favorite car mid-way.

SVX
Rue, it's alright, you can have it. You would appreciate it more. 👍

That's very kind of you sir 👍

I'll send the car tonight. :)
